In advance of the next episode of Nature’s Past, I thought I would post the latest information and Call for Papers for the upcoming International Wanapitei Aboriginal History and Politics Colloquium. This year’s colloquium is titled: “Protecting the land: Exploring Indigenous governance, environmental conflict, and resource agreements.” I recently interviewed Dorothee Schreiber and Siomonn Pulla, the colloquium organizers, about this event. That episode will go online in the next week or so, but the deadline to submit abstracts is July 21st so I thought it would be best to get that posted now.
The colloquium will take place from September 24-27 in conjunction with the Trent University Temagami Field Trip. I’ll post more details about this event with the next episode of the podcast.
